FEATURED COLLECTION

Over the fifty-year period following 1921, Mongolia underwent sweeping transformations and advancements across its political, economic, social, cultural, agricultural, and industrial sectors, charting a rich historical path of development as an independent nation. This work captures the livelihoods, social changes, national progress, and monumental development of the Mongolian people through photographic records, presenting a selection of these key historical moments.
The exhibition aims to introduce the public to more than 100 years of history of Mongolia’s mass media sector, preserve its valuable cultural heritage, and pass it on to future generations. It features more than 30 specially selected newspaper issues from archival collections, documenting significant historical events in Mongolia’s social, political, economic, cultural, and artistic development. Esan.mn is Mongolia’s largest digital archive, established in 2014 to digitize and consolidate books, textbooks, scholarly works, and research materials into an accessible and open platform for everyone. In 2025, News.esan.mn, Mongolia’s unified digital archive of historical media publications, was launched. It currently brings together more than 30,000 publications from 11 editorial offices. Visitors can access News.esan.mn and use its smart search system to find and read newspapers by title, issue, or relevant keywords. The platform also allows users to print individual newspaper pages, have them framed as keepsakes, or give them as gifts.
